"THE BEST VALUES IN HOME THEATER ARE JUST A MOUSE-CLICK AWAY"

Who are the Outlaws?

The "Outlaws" are a group of audio/video product designers, engineers, and marketers who have been in the consumer electronics industry for a long time. Together, we have been involved in the design and manufacturing of over 150 different audio and video products. Many of our designs have won industry awards for innovation and value. In fact, if you are an audio/video enthusiast, there is a very good chance that you own at least one or two products that we have designed.

Through the years, we have worked with each other, or competed with one another, and during this time we have become good friends. When we get together at industry shows, we always trade stories about how we've had to compromise this feature, or lower that performance spec, to meet our company's needs.

A few years ago, at one of our trade show get-together breakfasts (where bragging and exaggeration are the hefty side dishes that accompany the bagels and lox and the bacon and eggs), someone brought up the idea of forming our own company. Fantasies were abundant in that "what if" conversation.

We all wanted to design and manufacture products without corporate interference, and deliver them directly to the consumer. If we could accomplish this, then we knew that we could offer the best values in the industry.

On that day, we decided to form a new company and a new brand name, a company that would design and produce its own products without making the huge corporate margin.

One of the definitions of an Outlaw is "a person who rebels against established rules or practices - a nonconformist". The term OUTLAW seemed fitting for the name of our new company - a company that would break all the conventional rules of corporation.

The Outlaws' Code

Most companies have a corporate mission statement, a summary of the business approach and philosophy of the corporation. That's all well and good, but we're Outlaws. We live by something more serious than a mission statement; we have a CODE:

1. If the product is not a genuine value, the Outlaws won't build it. The marketplace is already full of brand name products with excellent performance. If we can't deliver something that gives more performance for the same or a lower price, we won't build it.

2. The Outlaws always shoot straight. Outlaws deliver factual, easy to understand product explanations without knocking our competitors. We will describe all of the advantages of our products. Then you can make a decision based on our information and any information you might gather from other manufacturers.

3. Outlaws like the simple life. Every time we hear the product term "flexible," we run for cover. We believe that flexible is all too often a code word for "complicated". Have you ever tried to program a "flexible" VCR, or use a word processing program touted as "feature packed and flexible"? We vow to design products that are as easy to use as possible without sacrificing any of the features that you really need.

4. Outlaws remain loyal to their "Family" When you become an owner of one of our products, you will not be forgotten. We promise to assist you with your questions and to give you honest advice about the rest of your audio/video system. As a member of our extended family you are encouraged to stay in touch with us long after your purchase.

"Factory? We're Outlaws! We don't need no stinkin' factory!!"

It's true, we have no factory, and we never will. If you are not building huge quantities of products, factories are very inefficient and add unnecessary overhead to the final manufacturing cost. We are designers and engineers. First we spec and design our products, and then we locate the best possible venue for their manufacture.

We are convinced that by matching a specific product to its ideal manufacturing venue, we will always deliver the best and most cost-effective A/V components. This development and manufacturing model, allows us to offer the best possible values to our customers.
